The german-swedish pianist Ann-Helena Schlüter, M.A., M.Mus., Dipl.-Mus., Dipl.-Mus.-Päd., Dipl.-Musikl., MCD, living in Germany, born in Nürnberg, Bavaria, forthcoming from a musicians dynasty, began her pianoplaying in the age of four years with her father, the german pianist prof. Karl-Heinz Schlüter, and the swedish musicpedagogue and organist Ann-Margret Schlüter. She studied piano with her father besides school and music-university until she was 17 years old. She won many piano competitions, amongst others the Steinway Piano Competition Hamburg, the Piano Duo Competition Nürnberg, is prizewinner of the Bundeswettbewerb Jugend musiziert Osnabrück in piano duo and piano accompaniment, and of the Robert Schumann Piano Competition Zwickau, piano solo. She studied under prof. Arne Torger as ‘Jungstudentin’ (young student) at the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg alongside to the Musikgymnasium Nürnberg (secondary school), then the Musikgymnasium Würzburg.

Afterwards she finished her Diploma in Instrumental Pedagogy with prof. Nina Tichman at the Hochschule für Musik Cologne. After the soloistclass at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold under prof. Anatol Ugorski she graduated (Artistic Piano Diploma) under prof. Bernd Glemser at the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg, thereafter in the Meisterklasse (masterclass) with the Meisterklassendiploma with prof. Glemser.

Meanwhile she studied in the Meisterklasse with prof. Glemser (Musikhochschule Würzburg), she studied parallel with a full scholarship at the Arizona State University Phoenix, USA, with prof. Walter Cosand and prof. Eckart Sellheim. In her second year in the US she was an assistant teacher for piano accompaniment instrumental, accompaniment voice and chambermusic. After the Master of Music Degree she accomplished her Meisterklassendiplom with prof. Bernd Glemser in Germany, took part in the ARD Piano Competition Munich and won the Schumann Concerto Competition of the Masterworks Festival in London and played with orchestra.

2011 she achieved the Magister Degree M.A. in musicology and musicpedagogy at the institute for music research at the Phil I of the Julius Maximilian University Würzburg (prof. Brusniak, prof. Konrad), her magisterpaper about Bachs Goldberg Variationen and the adaption of Rheinberger and Reger for two pianos with prof. Ulrich Konrad.

Likewise 2011 she recieved the Richard Wagner Scholarship for the Festspiele in Bayreuth, became an extraordinary member of GEMA Germany as componist and poet and gained the 1. prize at the International Visual Arts Competition Grafimuse, Piotr Lachert Foundation Brussels 2011 with Exhibitions in Italy and Bulgaria. Her artwork Blutschmerz (Bloodpain) was shown at the exhibition in Sofia, Bulgaria. Formation of Ann-Helena Band 2011 with Debut on Open Air Festivals.

As DAAD- scholarship holder, GVL- scholarship holder and scholarship holder of different foundations (for example Vera Ritter Foundation) she played in several international piano masterclasses and on festivals, for example in Poland, Italy, Austria, Germany, France, Hungary, USA, Russia and Switzerland, with prof. Paul Gulda, prof. Alexis Weissenberg, prof. Sergio Perticaroli, prof. Lazar Berman, prof. Karl-Heinz Kämmerling, prof. Pavel Gililov, prof. Rudolf Kehrer, Peter Feuchtwanger and others. She taught piano since 2005 at the University Würzburg, also as lecturer at the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg (piano accompaniment) and taught special classes for very gifted young children from 4 years old at the Musikschule Schweinfurt/Würzburg.

2011 her concerts guide her to Russia, Scotland, Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Netherlands and Austria, 2010 to the Philippines and Egypt, the year before to Uganda, Africa.
The pianist Ann-Helena Schlüter teaches and gives concerts abroad, in Kronstadt, Paris, Manila, Ankara, Moskau, Calvi, Kampala, Salzburg, London, she sings in the Choir of the Mainfranken Theatre and in the Kammerchoir of the University Würzburg. She also plays percussion in the akademic orchestra of the Würzburg University.

Her very young pupils and students became first prizewinners from 2005 till 2011 at Jugend musiziert Bavaria. She published many CDs with classical music, her piano improvisations and her own songs with band, for example 2010 the Goldberg Variations of Bach, 17 own songs and improvisations.
She gives masterclasses and workshops for piano, piano improvisation and songwriting. She writes poetry (PianoLyrik), songs, lyricals, prose and novels.

CD PianoLyrik with the Goldberg Variations of J.S.Bach, Waldstein Sonata of Beethoven, Chopin Etudes and Chopin Ballads and one free improvisation: Nachtgedanke (nightthought).
Prof. Martin Zenck and prof. Christoph Bossert wrote explanations in the cover of the CD to Bach. One month later, in March 2010, followed the CD
CD Jeden Augenblick (Every Moment) with 17 own songs (PianoSongs and band).

Because of her artistic studies of the Goldberg Variations by J.S.Bach at the piano, owing to her fascination of the artist personality of Bach, and last but not least because of her early introduction to piano duo works due to her father, Duo Karl-Heinz and Michael Schlüter, and the duo with her sister Magdalena, the author Ann-Helena Schlüter was close with the Goldberg Variations and their adaption by Rheinberger. The artistic knowledge in her hands (“the science and musicology in her hands“), her gift to write and her enjoyment with research and study helped her in the paper with the comparison Bach/Rheinberger/Reger: the great variation cycle and the adaption for two pianos by Josef Rheinberger and Max Reger:
